At the last
moment the council in their infinite wisdom have decided to refuse a
TENS licence for the music in the Vigo field, on the basis that the
noise levels will be too great and there will be too much disruption to
traffic (Jobsworths rule), so the music will now take place inside the
pub under the existing PEL, where the sound impact will be much greater
for the couple of serial complainers across the way.
The field will still be used for camping and parking (so much for
traffic disruption), which will now be FREE OF CHARGE!!
So if you fancy a free weekend camp and a lot of good music, with good
food and real ale, just come along for the day, or the weekend.
The field is still open from 11.00am Friday to noon on Tuesday.
